Coole & Co is founded on three core pillars; Excellence, Empathy and Efficiency. Founder and Principal lawyer Amy Coole has a professional background defined by a commitment to public service and rigorous legal practice, having worked across various government departments and the not-for-profit sector. After starting her education through School of the Air, three hours out of Halls Creek, it was serendipitous when many years later, after finishing her education at the University of Western Australia, she made her first appearance back in the Halls Creek Children's Court. She went on to appear in the Family Court of Western Australia, the Federal Court, and the Federal Circuit Court, and has developed a strong technical foundation in litigation built on high ethical standards. Amy believes that family law is about more than just a process—it is about the people involved. She is driven by the principle that every client deserves the most cost-effective solution to their legal needs, without compromising on quality or compassion. Coole & Co is ready to help you with dignity, care and transparency. Separation is a difficult time. Our team will help you understand the necessary next steps to take after separation and how to reduce any unnecessary legal and emotional costs.

This service is for those who have mediated with a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, within the past 3 months, with your ex partner. If you have a mediated Heads of Agreement and full financial information for yourself and your ex partner (which aligns with your Agreement) we will draw up and submit a Consent Order Application, based on your agreement, with the Family Court of Western Australia. Eligibility conditions apply: for example, full financial information for both parties must be provided. If this cannot be provided we will provide you with a Cost Estimate instead. For full conditions and further information follow the "Tell Me More" button below.
$900
For married couples who have separated and want to finalise their divorce. Eligibility conditions apply, for example if your ex partner refuses to sign documents and further work is required.
Fixed-fee means you know the total cost of your legal service upfront, before any work begins. No hourly billing surprises, no unexpected invoices. The price you see is the price you pay for the defined scope of work.
If additional work is required beyond the fixed-fee scope — for example, if further disclosure is needed for a consent order — additional work is charged at $300 per hour. We'll always discuss this with you before any additional costs are incurred.
We handle property settlements, parenting matters (custody and access), and Family Violence Restraining Orders (FVROs). Our initial consultation covers any of these areas.
Start with a $250 phone consultation — 45 minutes of advice on your parenting or property matter.
